This local watering hole has been here as long as anyone can remember. Perched on the shore of Qualicum Beach since first opening its doors in 1924, The Shady Rest Pub has been a meeting place for the great minds of the area to sit and discuss the world's problems - though they still haven't seemed to solve 'em! Come on down for a pint, to watch the game, play some games, cheers a friend, buy a round, meet someone new, sing, dance and generally be merry. With the same great menu and selection of items that we feature in our Restaurant, Pub patrons get to sample some of the area freshest and finest ingredients while they relax in an adult only (19+) environment. Sigh of relief?
Craft Beer Rotator
These days craft beer is extremely popular, and our area has many small but accomplished producers of fine beers.
At The Shady Rest, we are pleased to offer an ever changing variety of those local craft beer options via our rotating craft taps. You'll have to ask your server about what we are pouring today, but be warned that they tend to change pretty quickly, so if you find one you really like you'll want to order another soon! (Helpful Hint: The Shady Liquor Store also features a wide selection of bottles and cans, so be sure to check them out, too.)

Every Friday @ 7pm
Show off your musical trivia skills as teams (from 1 to ??) try to name the song, artist and year for points, prizes and bragging rights. Songs from the 50s to 2000s and everything between will have you wracking your brain to remember where you were when that song played on the radio. Earn a "FULL PULL" for a perfect score, and sit atop your throne as King or Queen of Trivia Town. The game is on every Friday night starting at 7pm.

Pub Reservations
We aim to keep the Pub more casual and limit the number of reservations we take for that venue. That said, sometimes reservations for special occasions can help to ensure that all of the members of a party are able to join the fun, so if you want to reserve in the Pub here are some things to consider:
- Pub Reservations are for groups of 10 or more - max 25-30.
- Pub reservations for Friday and Saturday nights are limited due to the popularity of those evenings in the Pub, and we require those reserving groups to arrive no later than 6pm.
